Once you begin posting a live score or game final for the Live Score Updates that are now showing on the home page, a box score will appear on your personal dynasty page reflecting your live score updates.

This box will remain on your dynasty page until you have updated your schedule with your final score. Until you do that, the box score will remain.

This was done to encourage live score participants to not leave their update dangling... leaving your update uncompleted (for instance: score 2-1, 6th inning... for 2 days).

So far, I think the Live Score feature is very interesting and has peaked my interest to see whose playing what and when. But, the biggest benefit is for the person posting the live update -- it brings more attention to their page (even if you have an up-to-date article).
