The Boston Celtics Basketball Franchise died tonight at approximately 8:51pm. The cause of death was rigged ping-pong balls, and the Portland Trail Blazers, Seattle Supersonics, and Atlanta Hawks are the lead suspects. The death was witnessed by Celtics legend Tommy Heinsohn, and he nearly had a heart attack when he witnessed the horror.
Once again, the Boston Celtics were pronnounced dead at 8:51pm Tuesday, May 22, 2007
I'm not a big NBA fan in general, but I am a fan of the draft and draft lottery. I love college basketball, so the draft is always fun for me.
Not only the Celts died tonight, Memphis got raped and killed at the scene. How can the worst team in the NBA not get the number one pick?
This is bulls*it!
As a Sixers fan, I'm praying that we trade all three of our first round picks, and the rest of our picks for the next three-four years for the #1 overall!
Yes I realize that, they also had the 2nd best chance of getting 1 or 2. Still doesn't change a thing. Now we get another 6'9 PF/C....another 10-20 years of losing is on the way.

Watch that scumbag Ainge waste #5 on some overseas guy who doesn't pan out.
Dudley could be good, but a player with his lack of special talent is a risk.
In the second round, I think the Celtics should take their chances on Sean Williams. I know they're trying to build a team of high character but Williams would have been a lottery pick if he had not been kicked off the team. The guy could have the same impact Oden will have defensively, he just doesn't have a good offensive game by any means.

^ Are You KIDDING ME. Jared Dudley no specail talent. He was a fukcing monster at BC. He won ACC player of the year. Very clutch. No special talent, oviously you didnt watch him. And from BC, to Boston. good transition.

I watch a lot of BC basketball, and I can safely say that he has that great "College Ability." His lack of raw athleticism is going to catch up with him in the NBA. The guy is a great leader and overachiever, I just don't see him being a guy who can get 18 a game in the NBA thats all.
I WENT to BC, have had season tickets and watch all the games, and I can tell you that Jared Dudley probably wont be anything special in the pros. He is a good shooter with high energy, but his size will be an issue, he will get pushed around by bigger guys at SF. Craig Smith and Troy Bell were both better players in college, and neither of them have really panned out yet. I agree with whomever said that Sean Williams will be a better choice, though that kid is friggin bonkers.
Dudley is not a starter at the next level, I just can't seem him starting for anyone. I may be wrong but as everyone has said his athleticism is a big problem.
Many college superstars never pan out in the NBA. But, I think Oden and Durant will both emerge 2-3 years from now as superstars. Oden will need to improve though, because against guys who are his height his advantage will be nulified, that is where talent comes in.
Durant just has pure talent, before the lottery, I saw him going to Boston, but not anymore.
The Celtics need a good and reliable big man. Nothing against Jefferson, but they need some meat in the middle.

Honestly everyone, i'm sorry to say, even if they Celtics would have gotten the 1 or 2 pick they still wouldn't be a top squad. It would still be a few years before they were back up to snuff. The celtics could have gotten Oden or Durant but u can't build a franchise on one of those two players. They are both far from LeBron and will never be that explosive. Now your probably wondering why i said LeBron and not MJ. Well MJ was the heart of that dynasty but he had a great, and I mean great supporting cast around him. So Celtics fans, don't go into deep depression just yet. See how these two, Durant/Oden, turn out before you judge!
