What is DM101? It's simply an extension of the Dynasty Manager website itself. It covers almost every topic a DMer could possibly need help with: writing, html, team selection, and page graphics. The site includes tutorials, written by current and former DM members, such as:
- "HTML Hex Color Codes" by Zephyr, which explains how hex codes work. - "Writing Tips" by Reppaken, which obviously covers the most important concept here on DM -- the writing itself. - "Team Selection" by DrMcAwesome, another important part of being a successful DMer. - "Etiquette" also by DrMcAwesome, which covers useful tips on how to get your name out there, the importance of respect for other DMers and more!. - "HTML in the Sidebar" is a tutorial written by Dylanis with edited images done by Pujols4MVP. This area covers how to use your DM Admin page to it's full potential and how to edit html codes.
The main goal for DM 101 is to be the main source of DM knowledge for the rookie DMers... and even the veteran DMers. It has something for everyone. Not only are there tutorials that explain how to work the Admin page, edit html, etc. but if you go to the "HTML" you can get team themed sidebars! By going to the "GFX" section you have access to lead banners for every team in the MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL. As of May 29th, 2008, DM 101 only offers HTML and lead banners for all 30 MLB teams. Tables and graphics will come soon for NFL, NBA and NHL. Check back here for updates! Another thing we'll try (which we were unsuccessful at for the DM HoF website) was nominating and voting for a page of the month. My plan is to try it and if it works, great, but if not then no harm done. The page of the month will be featured and linked on the homepage of DM 101. You can also access the DM Hall of Fame which has the plaques of those who have been inducted into the DM Hall of Fame.
Credit to Dynasty Manager 101 first of all goes to Rob, because without the DM website, of course, DM 101 would not be possible. Giddyupzil and Nitro742 get credit for the original idea of DM 101 and the layout. A special thanks goes out to guys who contributed to the site: Zephyr, Reppaken, Dylanis and DrMcAwesome.
Thank you all! Please contact me via AIM (ludstick 47) or e-mail (dmhelp101@yahoo.com) to report bugs/broken links or if you have any questions or concerns.
Just started going through the site to check it out and it looks really cool and easy to find stuff. Thanks to everyone involved in making the site real good job.
Definitely going to bookmark it, LOL.

Thanks sourjay3.... just so everyone knows. No, reppaken and zephyr are not around anymore. The people who contributed to the site wrote those tutorials back in 2005 when the original site launched. I just felt that they were still useful and each writer did a great job covering their topic. Thanks again to everyone involved in the creation of this website!
Fantastic stuff. I will update soon, my friends, it's just that MLB 2k8 is a huge disappointment and with my summer job, my pirates blog on mlb.com, and the summer in general - hopefully I'll be able to pop out some sheff updates.

How exactly is MLB 2k8 disappointing to you? I'm curious to know... is it the framerate? freezing? sliders? what?

Thanks for your support. If you'd like to put a small signature, you can right click > properties and use the signature I currently have in mine on DM. I have already added the signature to my sig on OS.com and Xbox360Achievements.org. I will also be promoting DynastyManager and DM 101 on message boards and websites such as IGN, Gamespot, 1up and xbox.com.

A number of things. Gameplay isn't smooth for me, and I just tried some new sliders but I don't know how good they will be. If you have something better let me know.

I just decided to change it yesterday to support by boy Ludwick who is tearing up everyone he sees right now! I may change it back in the future, but right now Ludwick is pwning....
1) DM101 was built up to teach "rookies" about the tricks of DM, how to write, how to formulate ideas, etc. That should really be the MAIN aim of the site. I feel like it is kind of getting jipped by having 3 articles stuck on one page in thin boxes. The HTML is also "tied" for the key aim of the site now, because that will really help people. Regardless, I think the articles each need to be given their own "page", just a little more attention.
2) The POTM - does it follow DMies rules - like you can't nominate yourself?
